Hey all! I hope you guys had a fun and happy Labor Day weekend. Mine was... lets just say not what I was planning. Don't get me wrong I had fun. But I also had my fair share of drama. But were just not going to talk about that. Friday, I drove my friend, Patrick, back home to Middletown, OH and turned right back around and came home. Saturday, Pat and I went to the UK vs. Miami game, at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. It was so fun and it was a perfect way to start off the fall/football season (UK 42 - Miami 0) Even though it was an insanely hot day out we still had a blast.

Saturday night, I stayed at home and relaxed, caught up on some sleep, watched some movies and hung out with my cat (can't beat that!). Sunday was a pretty busy day. I woke up at about 2 or 3 (don't judge me, I was tired) and went and picked up my friend Kristin from her house at 6 and then went to dinner and went with some friends to the WEBN Labor Day Fireworks. We were on the Kentucky side, not near the traffic and had a great view. After the fireworks, a few of us went to a friends house in Middletown and hung out. It was so much fun! Here's a few pictures!

I drove home this morning, a few minutes late to my first class, and now I'm back at my dorm. I'm going to delay doing my homework by blogging. :) Well I don't really have anything planned for this week/weekend. That trip to see my best friend, Jess, this weekend in Nashville has been cancelled (for reasons I care not to discuss) and so now I have to plan something to do.
College is working out good for me but I'm not going to lie, reality is starting to set in. School and all the homework is fine I don't have any problems with that. One problem I am having is in the social life department. Don't get me wrong, I have friends... but they just happen to not live here (Louisville, Minnesota, Nashville, etc.) It just hasn't been the easiest meeting new people, but I'm going to keep trying. I'm not gonna give up now. So for now I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and keep hoping that I meet some new people soon. Well I think thats it for tonight. Have a good night!
Oh and here's a picture of the new picture wall... this thing gets me through the tough days...
Hope everyone has a good Wednesday! Talk to you all soon!
Love,
Morgan
i was thinking about you this morning, i wanted to call or text and see how you were doing but when i picked up my phone it was 7 a.m. i thought "no way that morgan is up". now that i've read this post about waking up at 2 or 3 PM {i'm judging you} and i feel confident in my non-call choice.
ReplyDeletesounds like things are good & bad, hope the drama isn't too terrible and the curious side of my really wants to know what's going on!! i'll try and restrain my nosey self.
speaking of new friends. college life is meeting tonight in the library again at 8:00 if you're interested. go and hangout with chris b. & rousse.

all the drama will go away soon. promise. its just that...drama.
ReplyDeletei wish i could be there to help you get plugged in and meet some new people. the first month or so of college is hard. i remember that for sure. you just have to be consistent about putting yourself out there and being intentional about meeting new friends. you will have some soon..i'm not even worried.
jen said that about college life. you should def go. the people there are awesome and it would be a great way for you to meet other freshman. (i know i have already said all this to you but i'm saying it again.)
