single book of matches, gonna burn whose standing in the way...

it really isn't possible for me to suck anymore when it comes to posting on this blog. really. i was in class today... not paying attention (story of my life) and looked at my bookmark bar and proceeded to click on every single one. then i clicked on my link and my instant thought was "ohhhh my god. i totally forgot. my sister is going to beat me. with a spoon." she will constantly BBM and tell me to update my blog with stories of my life but i ALWAYS forget. sorry sis. better late then never right?

well i have much to update you guys on. the summer ended and i've started back to school at NKU. I am sooooo much more happy here. seriously. the campus isn't as big, which i like and the whole not living in a dorm anymore is a definite plus. to be completely honest i am a really boring college student. my life revolves around school then going to work. i usually work 5 out of 7 days of the week 4-10. or sometimes if i'm really lucky i work 6 out of 7. by the way if you can't tell that is heavy sarcasm.

but in all seriousness i love my job. it is really easy, i meet a lot of really awesome people on a daily basis, dance in the back with my boss, make fun of people on our headsets, or go visit my friends that work in different departments. my bosses are constantly asking me on our mics where i am because they dont see me in footwear and know i'm off being a social butterfly. i cant help it, dammit! let me fly!!! but i get my job done which is most important. i can sell people pairs of shoes like its my job.... wait, it is my job.

but to be honest i like being on the go. i love to make money and be able to have freedom to go buy myself a new outfit or gas to go on little trips. speaking of trips, right before the semester started I went to visit my long lost best friend Lexi, who i have known since the 3rd grade. she moved away to Indiana in 9th grade and we lost touch for sometime but had been talking about a visit for quite sometime. and when she mentioned that John Mayer was coming to her town, i was sold.

then, on september 11th, i road-tripped it with my two friends Amy and Jarrod to Indianapolis to see one of our favorite bands the Dirty Heads. the concert was fabulous but the car rides were the best part. so much fun and sooooo many laughs.

this is jarrod. we MADE him take a picture with the half mast flag because earlier that day this happened:
"why are all the flags at half mast today? did something happen?"- Jarrod
"are you SERIOUS. whats todays date?" -me
"september elevent-- OHHHH!!!" - Jarrod

my friends are really smart. what can I say?

well while I was up in Indy, I got a very special treat. I got to see a boy from my past, Eduardo.

that is my Ed. we met last year in the Bahamas. he is Brazilian and a total sweetheart. he picked me up halfway through the concert and took me to his house for dinner and dancing. it was as my Grandmother would say, very romantical. he also played me a song on his guitar. :) calm down friends, nothing will happen with this one. i dont do relationships... especially those that require distance. im FAR too young to be tied down. i have SO much living and loving to do.

I have VERY exciting news my dear friends! I have decided on a major. FINALLY! i'm going to major in Graphic Design with a minor in English. holla at finally deciding what I want to do! about damn time!

in those eight paragraphs, I've really summed up my past 3 months. I know, its all very exciting. well im in college, what do you expect? now that i've remembered that I have a blog (seriously-- who FORGETS they have a blog when it's bookmarked? ME. I'm in idiot). but this idiot will not forget again. I have a 4 day weekend off school and even though im working 3 of those 4, I will post another blog about future plans and some pictures of art work I've been working on this summer.

well friends, i hope you all are doing well. i miss you all. and even if youre a creeper looking at this and i don't know you, hi I'm Morgan and the more the merrier on reading this. ill miss you too. well i shall talk to you again soon.

love love love,
Morgan

by the way, it is FALL! i LOVE this freaking season. definitely my favorite season before it turns into the shit show that is also known as winter.

you seem quite shy but you're oh so cute....

ohhh my goodness friends. its not possible for me to suck anymore. i haven't posted on this blog allll summer and feel horrible. it was a few weeks ago when my sister threatened me within an inch of my life to post on here, so here i am... two weeks later. finally.

where do i begin?

this summer has been awesome so far. definitely the most relaxing summer i've ever had. i don't know if this summer can compete with the fun level of last summer but it's been trying.

the beginning of the summer started in FL with my Grandparents and Momma. Here's some pictures:

my mom and I had an amazing week in Pensacola with my Grandparents. it was relaxing, fun, and a wonderful girls vacation. my mom and I laid out and got tan, swam in the pool, and the ocean, and went to the beach. it was such an amazing week and i didn't want it to end.

after Pensacola, my Momma and I made a detour to SC, to see Shannon and Andy... and their new pup...

Meet my sweet baby nephew, Kentson. Isn't he handsome?! I love this little man. He's such a sweetie and wonderful. Speaking of this little guy, it was his birthday a few weeks ago, so Happy Birthday again sweet baby K. Auntie Mo Mo can't wait to see you again and play throw the tennis ball.

The rest of my summer has been filled with trying to find a job, relaxing, taking care of things for school next semester, hanging out with friends, laying out, getting dark, hanging out with my family and of course Kobe, and watching the World Cup.

there's me and baby kobe, watching the FIFA World Cup. I was addicted. And not just because of alllllllllllll the man candy that filled my screen everyday (who in the hell knew that Uruguay had such handsome men?!?! not me! but i sure as hell know now ;)) but also because I LOVE SOCCER. it's such an amazing sport and i miss playing it so much. i used to be goalie and i'm gonna go ahead and toot my own horn and say that i was awesome... just saying. oh and if youre wondering why i'm holding my shirt, that's my David Beckham jersey, I was wearing it during the USA v. England match and even though I was rooting for America, I was also rooting for my lover, even though he wasn't playing. Kobe used to love to sit and watch the games with me every morning but he learned his lesson... because I'm a yeller. I scream and hoot and holler when we score. Kobe doesn't like noises above a whisper. He's the reason there's the expression "scared-y cat."

instead of filling you in on exactly EVERYTHING that has been going on this summer im just gonna give you a list of fun things/new things going on in my life.

1. i have a new job. i started working at Dick's Sporting Goods about 3 weeks ago and i love it. well maybe not love but like it as much as you can like a job. 98% of the people i work with are awesome and i love having a job where the hours go by QUICK and theres always something to do. I work in the shoe department which is ALWAYS busy. I also work almost everyday so if youre around the area and want to stop in and see me, i would love it. you'll put a big smile on my face.

2. since starting my job, i've realized a few things:
- people are stupid. point blank.
- people do not know how or when to discipline their kids.
- i'm totally spanking my kids when they get out of line.
- my feet don't like not sitting down for 5 hours straight. so when i go home and take my shoes off, i usually limp.
- a LOT of cute boys shop at Dicks. which could either be a good thing or bad thing.

3. i've had about 3 epiphanies this summer.

4. i love money. i just got my first paycheck and i cant wait to spend it!

5. my cat is awesome. i think he understands that im not leaving to go down to UK every week, which makes him really happy. therefore, every single night i come home from somewhere (no matter where he is) he runs to greet me. im such a mom.

6. no matter how much im stressing out, or how much i have on my mind, when i paint it alllllll leaves my mind. right now im finishing painting my desk. i'll post pictures when i'm done (hopefully) next week.

7. i can actually get tan and not just burn! it amazing! right now im actually tan! its awesome! usually i get burnt then it fades into a very light tan. but now im actually dark. this. is. awesome.

8. i loveeeee having real talks with people about important issues. tonight i had an amazing talk with a boy and it was amazing. i dont think i'll forget that talk or what i learned from it for a very long time.

9. boys are stupid. (but as i just learned a few hours ago, there are a few exceptions ;))

10. i'm not going to work a 9-5 job when i get older. sorry. wont do it. i'm determined to work for a non profit or for an organization that strives to make a positive change in the world.

11. occasionally, when no ones home, I make a playlist, and dance around my house.

12. im getting pretty good at texting people at my job (it's against the rules). im such a rebel.

13. my new shoes are freaking awesome and cute.

14. it is INSANELY hot outside.

15. im not looking forward to going to work for 8 hours tomorrow.

16. i'm going to sleep.

17. i promise to have a photo blog later this week.

well my dear friends, i'm going to bed. im very tired. i will blog again veryyyy soon. PINKY PROMISE.

love love love,

Morgan

can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars...

my goodness! i cannot believe it's been sooo long since I have blogged. we have much to discuss my dear friends and family.

1. in less than two weeks, i will officially be done with my freshman year of college. it has been one of the most hectic times of my life but to tell you the truth, i have never grown so much as a person in my entire life. this year has made me grow up, look at life in a different way, and look at who i'm becoming as a person. i've met new people, and looked hard at friendships i've had and thought long and hard about if those friendships were making me a better or worse person. even though this year has been so hard for me, i would do it all again if i knew i would it would make me a better person (which i believe it has).

2. i am transferring. after a lot of praying and talking to family and friends, i have decided to move back home to NKY and attend NKU for a semester or two, until i figure out where I want to go from there. UK is a wonderful place, and I will always have amazing memories of coming down here to visit my sweet sister and her friends, but in the end, this place is not where i belong. i think one of the main reasons i decided to come down here was to be close to my sister and follow the path that she took in her life. but as this year has taught me, i must make my own path and make my own way in life.

3. i have become a YouTube brat. i don't know how it happened but if i have free time in my dorm, i will go to youtube and watch old episodes of TV shows (hello, Nick and Jessica Newlyweds & Laguna Beach & i could go on and on about all of them). it's hysterical. i love me some youtube, what can i say?

4. yep. i bought it the day it came out...

really did you expect anything else? i'm obsessed.

5. in less than two weeks i will be in warm and beautiful FL with my Mom. I'M SOOO EXCITED! i'm going to get so tan then come home and see friends and then start work... i'm not really sure where i'm working yet, but i hope to find out soon.

6. i wish Thursday would get here already so i could hang out with my two favorite boys, Kris & Greg. we hung out last Friday and had a blast, so i'm realllllyyyyy looking forward to seeing them again this weekend. they make me laugh more than ANYONE and are such good, genuine, sweet boys. we're actually planning on going up to Chicago one weekend this summer to celebrate Kris' 21st birthday. if it all works out like were planning it's going to be an AMAZING weekend. :)

7. i don't have a final in my english class butttttt I have a paper due on thursday and then i'll be officially done with that class for good. i have yet to start writing this paper. a rough draft is due tomorrow for peer review, but the girl i always peer review with and i don't write our papers and we just act like were grading each others papers while we chit chat. it's a full proof plan. but don't worry friends, after this blog post ill at least write a page or two so i don't have to do all the work tomorrow and wednesday.

8. i'm wearing sweatpants pretty much all week to school.... it's just one of those weeks. don't judge me.

thats pretty much my list friends. nothing really else is going on in my life. i'll be sure to write another post again very soon.

i hope you all are well, and i will talk to you soon.

love love love,
Morgan

could you be loved and be loved?

in case you dont know, my blog title is an AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING song by Bob Marley called "could you be loved". i have been listening to summer-y music alllll week getting amped up for summer. and to me Bob just screams summer. i have his CD's in my car and I cannot help but put my windows down, arm out the window, hair down, and music up when i hear his music. a good friend of mine shares my love for Bob and has a huge Bob Marley tattoo on his bicep. its a gorgeous tattoo and really well done and one of my favorite tattoos i've ever seen on someone. thats commitment and i love Bob but won't be getting a tattoo any time soon.

life in lexington is going good. just working on homework and about to come down to the home stretch. there are a lot of tests coming up and a some papers due but in a month it will be alllllll done. thank god!

it's definitely been awhile since i've updated and we have some stuff to catch up on. two weeks ago i went to SC to visit my sweet sister and her lovely boyfriend. we had sooo much fun! it was relaxing and we laughed soo much all weekend. while I was there we celebrated Andy's birthday.

thats shakey on his birthday. while they were both at work i decorated the entire apt. with streamers and birthday games. we played je-party (same game as jeopardy just with a much cooler name) and pin the tail on the donkey. it was amazing. it was a great party and a huge success. sorry that was one of the only pictures i took. we suck so bad at taking pictures. we'd much rather just hang out then worry about pictures (which drives my mom up the wall, sorry momma) .

driving to SC was crazy. being in a car by myself for 7 hours by myself was insane. it took me about 9 hours to drive down there though because it rained the ENTIRE way. and not a drizzle, it felt like a hurricane. tons of wind, pouring rain, and really windy country roads. it SUCKED. but seeing Shan and Andy made it soo much better.

the drive back home was sooo much better! it looked like this the whole way home...

BEAUTIFUL!

that was a great great week spent with two of my favorite people in the world.

i'm very excited for this weekend. tomorrow is the annual hang out with my two favorite boys night. i'm SO excited! they make me laugh until my stomach hurts. i cant wait to see them tomorrow. friday is supposed to be veryyy nice back home, so im going to spend the day tanning in my back yard. i'm soooo pale i'm pretty sure a polar bear is more tan than i am. one day this weekend is going to be spending a whole day painting and hanging with my cat. then i'm also hanging out with Jess sometime this weekend. sounds like a great weekend to me!!!!

by the way can we just quit this whole pollen is "extremely high in your area" crap? im really allergic to this stuff and ragweed and right now they're as big as Lady Gaga. my nose is soooo stuffed and my eyes are oh so crazy swollen. lack of sleep/pollen is not making Morgan a happy girl. but oohhh well.

well thats about it. nothing else is going on here but i hope you guys have a great weekend and i'll try and take some pictures this weekend. talk to you guys next week.

love love love,
Morgan

this time baby I'll be bulletproof...

oh my sweet family and friends! it's about time i wrote a little blog. hell week is officially OVER and the fun is about to begin.

this weekend was a blast. my thursday nights are a tradition to hang out with two of my favorite boys...

that's Greg, being held by Kris. that's just them being them.

these crazy boys are the funniest, craziest, best guys. they make me laugh so hard and tell the funniest stories. this week, they both came over to my house and then we tried to figure out where we were going that night. We decided on going to Gameworks, dinner, and then t see Alice in Wonderland. We played around at Gameworks for a few hours then went to dinner then back to Gameworks then to see Alice. The movie wasn't that great. I'd give it a 5 out 10, and that's being generous. it definitely didn't live up to it's hype which was disappointing. then after the movie, we went to late night waffle house until 4:30. it was wonderful. i can always count on having a good time with these crazy boys.

the rest of the weekend was spent hanging out with my family, eating good food, relaxing, shopping for birthday presents, and hanging out with the boys again.

this week is an extremely easy week. i could pretty much sleep through it if i wanted to. no tests, nothing due. just class. ill take that! just getting through it and onto this weekend will be awesome. thursday afternoon, im driving back home to trade cars with my momma and hang out with her for the night. at 12:01 a.m., my mom and i will be going to see...

yep, im going to be that girl and go at midnight. but why do you ask? because i heard the movie is absolutely amazing and two. they're showing the new eclipse trailer before it. thats why. were both very excited.

friday morning, i will be driving down, by myself, to...

im sooooo excited! i will be spending a little over a week down in SC with my sweet sister and her sweet boyfriend. i CANNOT wait. i wish this stupid school week would hurry up. stupid school.

well my friends, other than that, that's about it. nothing really new going on in my life but i am getting a bit tired and would like to get some sleep. i'll talk to you guys soon! goodnight!

love love love,
Morgan

song of the week: "bulletproof" by la roux. its my latest obsession and i will be rocking out to it the whole way down to SC. im excited!

you can't play on broken strings...

these things have been keeping me away from blogging for the past couple of weeks....

the olympics have completely DOMINATED my life for the past 2 and a half weeks. i would check ESPN constantly, skip stupid classes to watch a certain sport, and watch it EVERY chance i got. i freaking love the olympics and im so pissed that it's over. i believe that the olympics should last forever.

a BIG HUGE thing thats also been keeping me away from blogging and yes, sometimes even the olympics is sigh...

homework and studying has taken over my life. my math class is rapidly crushing my soul. when i make a mistake, i will admit it. and let me just say, taking a combo math course was a HUGE mistake. our teacher gives us 40-60 problems a night, tests often, and DOESN'T explain things at all. i had a huge test today, and let me just say it's taken a toll on my body. last night i had a bit of a break down over the test. i was really really worried but then i talked to some other students in the class before the test and they all feel the same way. they're all really worried about the class and all agree that this class is affecting how were doing in all of our other classes. ridiculous. let's just say, I WILL NOT be becoming a mathematician.

i've named this week "death week" because in every class we either have papers due, or huge tests. i have a quiz in biology tomorrow and a paper due in english, a test in anthropology on wednesday and the first part of my math final, thursday i will have another paper due in english and a test in biology and the second part of my final in math. PUNCH ME IN THE FACE!!!!

well other than that, nothing too exciting is going on. in just 11 days, i will be in SC visiting my sweet sister and her dear boyfriend. this is pretty much the only thing keeping me going.

my head is officially pounding and really starting to feel sick. boo college boo. you suck!

well dear friends and family, i'm going to get going so i can study and watch the bachelor. i hope you guys are having a better week than me. have a good week and ill hopefully remember to blog this weekend.

goodnight friends!

love love love,
Morgan

oh love, don't let me go...

hello friends! im so so so sorry i havent given you a blog recently, i suck. i have been super super busy recently and needed a break from blogging so i would have something to write about. so lets get this show on the road...

more like SNOW on the road. we got 9 inches of snow yesterday. this is NOT fun. now anyone who really knows me will tell you how much i love weather. i love it all and welcome it... but i am soooooo sick of snow. i'm really really ready for a break. speaking of breaks, spring break is sooo close i can taste it! it's only weeks away and i am so excited! this spring break i will be going to Greenville, SC to hang out with

Shannon & Andy aka SHANDY

i can't wait to hang out with this wonderful couple! i plan on playing a ton of wii and hanging out with two of my favorite people in the world. sooo excited. less than 3 weeks and ill be there guys! i really really hope that i can see this while im down there...

theres nothing new going on here at school. i've been doing sooo much homework and trying to learn a whole lot of new math that my professor has been piling on. im actually starting to get sick too. walking in this cold and lack of sleep has gotten the best of me. im pretty sure i now have a cold. just my luck right!?

so last week i told you that i got my new beloved Mac and was really excited about it. well as soon as i plugged my ipod into the Mac and my iPod decided to quit working, forever. i can't begin to tell you how angry this makes me. i love love love music and now my iPod just up and quits. GRRRRRR!!! well im going to finally put my money where my mouth is and upgrade...

the beautiful iPod Touch will be alllll mine on friday. im quite excited and pumped up about all of my new gadgets. i feel like a cool kid.

well friends and family im going to get going. i have homework to do. have a good night and ill talk to you all again this weekend. goodnight everyone.

love love love,
Morgan

im sorry if this post was kind of jumpy. im SO tired and feel horrible and my mind is going everywhere! im going to go to sleep now :) goodnight all.

the song in this weeks post title is "Life in Technicolor ii" by coldplay. such a good song.

superbowl sunday

first of all let me just say that i'm sorry i haven't posted on my blog at all lately. ive been CRAZY busy and I refused to post another blog until i had...

I pleased to announce that i'm officially a Mac and that i will NEVER be going back to a PC EVER again.

isn't she pretty?! i have yet to name her, so if you have any suggestions let me know (it must start with an m, fyi) :)

i have been spending the last day and a half setting everything up and transferring all of music, pictures, etc. over to my new Mac. it's going to definitely take awhile but it will be worth it.

but thankfully i have a helper...

there's sweet little kobe, laying on my lap and helping me. every once in awhile hell wake up get jealous and come stand right in front of the computer... i don't think he likes the new mac. sorry little man.

today, is superbowl sunday. to say the least, im excited! my boys, THE SAINTS, are in the superbowl. i'm sooo proud of them and I really hope that they win and therefore will show the american people that although Haiti is hurting New Orleans is still hurting too. i really want to go down there this summer and help build a house with Habitat for Humanity.

but on the good side, I'm soooo pumped to watch the game. i lost my voice 2 weeks ago while watching the game and I KNOW i will lose my voice again this week. i HOPE i see this A LOT today...

GEAUX SAINTS!!!

since its the superbowl i plan on having 'superbowl food' and because of that i must get going so i can order my wings before the game starts. i loveeeee me some wings.

hope you guys have a good sunday and GEAUX SAINTS!!!

it's DESTINY! Finish STRONG!

love love love,

Morgan

i'll be posting again tomorrow, because it'll be my 19th birthday ;)

tuesdays ten

i got this idea from my sister on her blog, visit her blog here. so this is where i give yall a list of 10 of my pet peeves... most of them will be about college.

1. when i see girls all across campus decked out in sorority crap. (sorry to those of you who are/were in a sorority) but my god is it annoying! having a sorority tote, sweatshirt, and sweatpants on ALL AT THE SAME TIME is much too much pride.

2. the fact that my dorm is old. don't get me wrong, my dorms top notch on campus... but one problem with having a dorm is stuff breaks... and by stuff i mean pipes. apparently last weekend, a pipe burst in our bathroom... which leaked into my dorm. thankfully UK sent people out to clean our carpets. and thankfully nothing was ruined. if anything would have happened to my computer, there would have been a smack down.

3. not being able to fall asleep. im pretty sure everyone here has experienced this. you know when youre laying in your bed and really tired but your mind is restless so you toss and turn for a long time worrying and thinking about everything. this has happened to me soooooo much lately. last night i got into bed at midnight... i didn't fall asleep until 3. SUCK!

4. being really hungry. any member of my family will agree, when im hungry i turn into a gremlin. meaning i will be a complete jerk, yell, or just not talk and sit over in the corner and brood until i get some food. its been like this since i was a baby (says my mom) and it sucks. im now sitting in my dorm waiting to go pick up my food at pazzos (be jealous sister!) and DYING of hunger. it's really hard to write and being hungry angry at the same time. trust me.

5. fake tans. there is a girl in my math class that comes in every day darker and darker. unless you're flying to Australia every night and laying out then flying back in time for class, you're not fooling anyone. its 20 degrees outside and snowing. you're not fooling anyone, you look like an oompa loompa, you look like a fool, and you're slowly giving yourself cancer. quit it.

7. math! for the love of god! i do not or will not ever need to know x=y+b-mx. why am i spending my money and time on something i will NEVER use. i had a test in my math class today and i couldn't think of this one problem to save my life. on the top it said find x. after much time trying to figure it out, i ended up just circling x and writing 'found it'. im a rebel.

8. Brett Favre. the man is OLD. he USED to be a good quarterback. let it go people. i was getting so angry while watching my beloved Saints play on Sunday (by the way wasn't that the greatest game ever?!?! i lost my voice from screaming so loud!) They never showed the Saints on the TV, instead they just talked about Brett Favre and his age, etc. I got so annoyed that i printed this out...

yep. it say 'favre on the ground'. i got the idea from a poster i saw someone holding at the game. every time he got sacked or knocked over, i would add another tally. fyi, he was hit 12 times. :)

time to go sit in your wheelchair old man, and leave the football to the boy that really know how to play...

hes so much younger and SO much cuter!

7. when people WrItE lIkE tHiS. every other letter is capitalized. you look like a loser and like you belong on the jersey shore.

8. distance. i REALLY hate being away from all my family and friends. i wish i could just fly to Florida, or VA, or Texas, or California, or SC to see my family because were all spread apart. distance sucks.

9. people being loud when im trying to sleep. is it really necessary to run down the hall at 3 a.m and be shouting and laughing? its not funny. in fact it makes me want to kick you in the shins.

10. my iPod. i've had this thing for 4 years and for about a year or so, its been horrible. it freezes ALL of the time, has a 2 hour battery life, and wont play 50% of my songs. thankfully, with gift cards and money for my birthday (thats February 8th!) i'm going to go and by a touch. I CANNOT WAIT. and that same weekend, i get my MacBook. I CANNOT WAIT!!!!! bye bye Dell desktop and crappy iPod.

well those are my ten pet peeves. hope you enjoyed them! i get to go home tomorrow after babysitting (im skipping two classes on Thursday, don't judge). i get to hang out with my friend Kris on Thursday and then Friday im driving up to University of Dayton to hang out with Jessie! I can't wait. Then it will be back home on Saturday and hanging out with my fam! Can't wait. it's going to be a great weekend!

oh and did i mention that the Saints are going to the SUPERBOWL!? its destiny! they belong to be there and i cannot wait to see them play on Feb. 7th. did i mention that the Superbowl is the day before my birthday? if they win, that will be the best birthday present ever and it'll make me do this...

hope you guys have a great weekend! ill post some pictures of my weekend next week!

love love love,
Morgan

sweet disposition...

hello friends! i hope you guys had a fabulous break! sorry i didn't get a chance to write on this blog at all... i forgot and was just too busy. but now we will catch up.

this break with sooooo much fun! seeing friends, hanging out with my family, going to FL, christmas!, lots of laughter, and oh so much more! the first half of break was spent recovering from lack of sleep, hanging out with family and friends, and my beloved cat. it doesn't get much better than that! then about a week into break, the family and i drove down to FL. more like my parents drove while i slept in the back seat. :)

Florida was absolutely WONDERFUL! i did NOT want it to end. being with my family is always a blast. we ate delicious homemade food, watched football, laughed until our stomachs hurt, and played tons of Halo (correction... just me and Andy haha).

Here are a few pictures...

as you can tell, i only whipped out my camera for the beach and forgot about it for the rest of the week. my moms got all the other pictures.

three great things happened during this trip:

1. i performed the entire dance of the single ladies music video for the family. once for Shannon and Andy, then the rest of my family heard them laughing and came to see what was up. then i was forced to perform it again. i know what youre thinking, Morgan, you know the entire single ladies dance?! answer: no. i put the video on my phone and watched the video and danced along. i even had the outfit on. but actually they were just tights and a wifebeater. nevertheless, it was hilarious. my mom has pictures, maybe ill put one up one day, MAYBE ;)

2. on our last night in FL, Andy and I went to see the movie...

AVATAR! if you haven't seen this movie, DO IT! theres a reason its the second highest grossing movie of all time. its AMAZING! i absolutely love the love story of...

Jake and Neytiri. i literally left that movie wishing i was blue and running around the jungle on a big giant bird. who wouldn't right!?

3. CHRISTMAS! it was a wonderful Christmas! I got an amazing North Face jacket from my parents, clothes, cheerwine, movies, etc. all the presents I gave were a hit and everyone loved them! success!

After coming home from FL, it was New Years Eve. I went over to my friend Ross' house and celebrated with the old crew. it was a blast! i didn't want the night to end! here are a few pictures...

Again, sorry for lack of pictures. a majority of the pictures are on ross' camera. but as you can tell, it was a very fun night! (dont get all excited that i'm kissing two boys cheeks. theyre both just good friends :))

while on break, i did something that i vowed that i would NEVER do.

i started watching Lost. I wanted to see what the hype was all about. and i'll admit... its a good show. the first season was really awesome and now i'm in the beginning of the second. for the last week of break this is what i did between midnight and 4 or 5 in the morning...

thats my cat Kobe, sitting on my lap, watching Lost with me. he loved how i'd lay with him for hours upon hours at night and not move because i was watching Lost. isn't that just the sweetest!?

so far, i'm not gonna lie, i'm Team Jack/Kate.

isn't that picture just adorable!?

now before my mom and sister disown me, i said SO FAR. so far in the show Sawyer is acting like a bit of a punk but i can see him becoming a better guy. and Jack has cried about 5 or 6 times in the show so far, and who doesn't love a boy that shows his feelings?! haha and can't forget, hes a doctor!

as i get into the second season i'm starting to get a little confused and weirded out. why does black pixie dust just jump up out of the ground/make loud noises and kill people? couldn't they have picked something more scarier then black dust?! and entering numbers into a computer to save the world or whatever? kinda weird, but its Lost. i'll just go with the flow.

all in all, it was a very successful winter break and didn't want it to end. i started back at school on Monday and so far so good. the new schedule this semester is.

Monday & Wednesday
9:30 a.m - 10:45 a.m. Anthropology 101
11:00 a.m.- 12:15 p.m. Math 108/Math 109

Tuesday & Thursday
11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Math 108/ Math 109
12:30 p.m - 1:45 p.m. Biology (Human Ecology)
2:00 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. English 102

in case you don't understand the two math course thing, let me explain. in order to hurry up and get done with math forever, i'm taking a dual course. half the semester is split up for Math 108 and the other half will be 109. i get credit for two classes and everything. we meet Monday-Thursday instead of two days a week. this class will probably be the death of me.

thats about it! i hope you guys enjoyed this new blog. i may or may not be writing tomorrow. :) hope you guys had a great holiday break and an AMAZING 2010!

love love love,
Morgan

carry out...

THANK YOU GOD! I am ALMOST done with my first semester of college and my God do I need a break! My brain literally HURTS! If I try to put anymore information in there... it could be deadly. So thankfully, I have my Math final tomorrow and as soon as it's over, I'm coming back to my dorm and packing up my things and heading home for an ENTIRE MONTH! That sounds sooooo good. I can't tell you how excited I am. It's going to be an awesome month full of family, FLORIDA, my cat, friends, parties, new years craziness, Christmas, Grandparents, SLEEP and FUN! I'm so excited. I can't wait to actually eat food. Don't get me wrong, I like the food here and especially the fact that we are a Coca Cola campus, but I swear if I eat pizza or mashed potatoes or anything else I usually eat here I will punch someone.

But before I get going on my month of much needed break, we have some things to discuss. This past weekend for instance, was... interesting to say the least. I went home because I needed to study for finals, I was starting to get sick from lack of sleep and I needed a break. But something happened on Saturday night that scared me to death...

I was sitting downstairs (home alone), being crafty for Christmas presents and watching one of my all time favorite movies, The Holiday. All is fine and dandy, until at about 11 or so I hear something outside. Mind you this couch is right next to a sliding glass door that leads onto a back patio (on the ground floor). I silence the TV because I got a little nervous. Good thing I did. I then proceeded to hear SOMEONE try and silently OPEN the sliding screen door. But we have that locked, and obviously they got that so they proceeded to jerk harder 2 or 3 times. I FREAKED OUT. Silently. I quietly got up from my couch and walked over to the window and turned on the light on the porch. I then heard them leave. I panicked and called my Mom (who was in Florida, at the time) and made her stay on the phone with me while I went and looked out of my sisters window to see if they were still there. They weren't and my Mom told me to hang up and call the cops. As I called the cops I heard him come back and pull on the door silently a few more times before he bolted. The cops were there in about 5 minutes. They came in and I explained the story and they searched around the house and the woods and told me that they were going to hang around the neighborhood for a while.

I then went to the garage, picked up my old baseball batt and sat downstairs and silently freaked out until my Dad got home. My sweet sister, stayed up with me via text and phone calls to make sure I was safe. I love you sister!

Sunday night, my Dad had to work again, so as soon as he left, I went and turned on every light possible and made sure every door and window was locked and closed every blind. I was downstairs, still being crafty, at about 6:25 (since its winter, you now its dark by this time) and I have the TV (watching the Holiday again. Thanks for showing my favorite movie 3 times in the same weekend TBS!) volume on low and all of the sudden I hear something outside. I turn the volume down even lower and listen. I hear foot steps, something moving against the wall and then SOMEONE pressing on my sisters bedroom window's screen or window frame. I couldn't really understand what he was doing. I thought I was maybe hearing things, but then I heard him DROP HIS KEYS. I FLIPPED. I heard him run off but I still grabbed my phone, ran into my room and locked the door and called the police. Two cop cars showed up with 3 or 4 cops within 2 minutes. They were here so fast. They said they were going to search the woods and check the neighborhood and fingerprint the window. They didn't come up with any fingerprints but they said they would stay around the neighborhood that night, just in case.

UNBELIEVABLE RIGHT?!?! I can't believe that happened! It always happens to me too. It happened to me once in our old house, but I saw that guy. Creeptastic men, LEAVE ME ALONE! We don't have to worry about them anymore, we now have an alarm system and put boards in the sliding door frame (so that it won't slide even if you unlock the door) and all the windows on ground level. THANK GOD! I will feel much safer at home now!

Well that was my creeptastic weekend. Other than that happening to me, it was nice, relaxing, and great to recharge my batteries.

And you know how I was going to take pictures of our pretty decorated house at night? Yeahhh, I thought about doing that, but then I was creeped on and the idea of going outside by myself, at night... not appealing and NO THANK YOU! Thats like having a buffet for the hungry, they'll attack it. So just take my word for it, it's pretty and I'll take picture sometime over break.

Just because I'm going on break, doesn't mean I'm taking a break from blogging. I will keep blogging, and filling you in on adventures. I hope you guys have a great weekend!

love love love,
Morgan

Oh and ummm Saints are 12-0 and the Wildcats are 9-0. Just sayin'. :))))))

Oh and by the way, the title of this post is from "Carry Out" by Timbaland and Justin Timberlake. It's such a good song and I plan on walking to my final tomorrow, rocking out to it. Check it out! :)

Oh and one more thing, this whole cold and wind thing needs to quit NOW. The wind was ridiculous today (25mph+). Thats insane! I almost got blown over today, multiple times. And today, when I was hanging out with Patrick, he told me that when he was walking over to my dorm, he actually saw some girl get literally knocked over by the wind. I would have loved to have seen that! Also, today, while at lunch, Patrick and I were talking about Florida football and I made a comment about how I loved Tim Tebow because he loves the Lord and he's someone boys in college should look up to. Patrick then told me that he hates Tebow because and I quote, "He's too good, like a goody-goody, he doesn't drink or party, he has a bangin' girlfriend, says god bless you after every interview, and hes just... TOO GOOD!" I then asked, "Well would you like him more if he slept with every girl, partied hard, and was a typical college boy." His answer: "HELL YES! I'd love him!!!!" haha oh how I love our conversations, Pat!

Oh and Tim, you're adorable.

We should date. ;)

likes and dislikes of dorm life

I have been planning on writing this blog for awhile, I just waited until the end of the semester so I could give you a full list of likes and dislikes of dorm life.As most of you know, I live in a wonderful little dorm on North Campus called Keeneland Hall.

It's quite a nice dorm and in great shape for being over 50 years old. I'm pretty sure the only reason is because it was a girls only dorm for a long time. Since I've lived here for a few months now, I've compiled a list of things that i like/dislike about living here.

Likes:

I LOVE the fact that my dorm isn't like all of the other ones on campus. It's suite style and that means that I don't have to share a bathroom with 20 other girls. If that were the case, I would definitely hate my life. But here, our bathroom is joined to our room and we share it with two other girls.

I'm starting to really love my bed. Even though it is definitely not as comfortable as my amazing bed back home, all the padding that we've put on it is really comfy and I constantly take naps when I should be doing homework. Story of my life!

I absolutely love Brita! This thing has saved my body from horrible water all semester long. We check whats filtered out of our water all the time and its absolutely disgusting what we would be drinking if it wasn't for this amazing invention.

I absolutely LOVE my picture wall. As the semester has gone on, the picture wall has grown and I can only imagine how big it will be at the end of winter break, let alone the end of the school year.

Thats just some of the likes. I really like the dorm in all but I'm not gonna lie its more fun to write about the bad. And there are a few of those...

Dislikes:

One of the things that I hate the most about my dorm is the fact that the wall behind my head is a stairwell. This is my wall...

and the opposite side of it.

I don't know where the kids in my door were raised but obviously it was jungle. They don't consider that at 3 a.m. you shouldn't run and have (what sounds like) a rave in the stairwell. Also, I understand that the elevators are broken and everything but throwing your wheely luggage down the stairs ONE STEP AT A TIME at 7 a.m. will make me want to kill you. I've already yelled outside my door at people to shut the hell up and they never listen. Animals.

Oh my bathroom. This is where most of the dislikes are. This is a sticker on my door leading into my bathroom. It constantly makes me giggle.

I'm not gonna lie... I've locked my roommate and a few other friends in there before... only for a minute... as a joke. Don't tell my RA. :)

It's a nice bathroom don't get me wrong. But our suit mates are weird (see example below)...

Yep. You're seeing that right. My weird suite mates left this thing in the bathroom one day. First of all who in their right mind would make this and second, who would BUY it and third who would EAT THIS! Who thinks I'm gonna buy this sucker with a cricket in it?! Disgusting. Me and my roommate judged this. I invite you to judge too.

Another thing about my suite mates, they're constantly in the bathroom... stinking things up. Not cool guys. Not cool.

So this is the shower part of the bathroom. It looks normal right?

This is my shower with me standing in it. Look at the shower head. Its shorter than my head. Apparently in 1955, a lot of midgets went to UK because to take a shower you have to scrunch down like...

It's insanely uncomfortable and a nightmare to wash your hair.

Obviously our fan is a little bigger than our ledge so we have to constantly re-tape it down so that it doesn't fall in the middle of the night.

Well those were just a few of my likes and dislikes. I hope you enjoyed them and got a few laughs. I'll give you guys another post tomorrow or later tonight about my weekend and the funness that is ahead. I know funness isn't a word but I like it.

love love love,
Morgan
