"are you makin' eyes at me!?!"

Hey there family and friends! I hope you guys had a great weekend! Mine was just fantastic! Thursday, after class, I went back home to NKY for my parents anniversary. That night we went to Newport on the Levee and ate at Dewey's Pizza. While we were eating my parents surprised me and told me that we had tickets to go see Shadowbox. Shadowbox is a sketch comedy/rock and roll club at Newport. We had so much fun and laughed so hard. My dad had told them that it was their 27th anniversary and during the opening monologue, the guy pulled out a piece of paper and said, "Congratulations to Margo and David. It's their 27th anniversary today.... That's a long fu**ing time!!!!" To which my dad replied, "NO SHIT!" Good job Dad!

Friday, my Dad went to Cleveland, so my mom and I had a girls day. We watched 4 movies, hung out and relaxed. It was one of the greatest days I've had in a while. I love my momma :)

And let me just say... oh how i just loovvveee halloween. I hope you guys had as much fun as i did on Halloween. Saturday afternoon I drove up to Dayton to celebrate Halloween with my best friends. We had soooo much fun. We hung out, walked around, freezed our butts off, and had a blasty blast. Here are a few pictures...

Me, Dan, Jenny (Jess' roommate from Belmont), Jessie, Ross

Dan and Ross were jazzercisers. How awesome is that!?!

Me and Jessie :)

Jenny, Me, Jess and Rossy

Dance partyyyy

I just lovvee the expressions in this picture!

Jenny, Matt, Dan, Rossy, Jess and I

This is my favorite picture of the night. UD has these random midget doors so I told Ross to go pose with them... and this is what he does. A. he's super excited to be a midget B. look at his hands! Do midgets usually have their hands that way? C. This picture is just wonderful and it makes me wish my friend Ross was indeed a nugget.

I had so much fun hanging out with my friends. Even though we did freeze our butts off, it was totally worth it. We walked around to different parties and there were so many crafty costumes! The best one I saw of the night: Gumby. That show was soooo awesome and I miss it. Gumby was and still is the man!

I got about 5 hours of sleep that night and had to take a nap when I got back home on Sunday. Then I only got 5 hours of sleep last night because I was doing homework (that I come to find out isn't even due until Wednesday... story of my life!). So you can pretty much guess that I'm like a zombie and dead tired today. I'm coming right back to my dorm tomorrow after class, and going to bed. I can't quite tell if this is pure sleepiness or if it has to do with the fact that I'm coming down with something. Being sick sucks!

This week is going to fly by, I can already tell. Tomorrow, I'm going to class then coming back and napping and doing homework all night. Then Wednesday, I've got class, then babysitting and then at 8, I'm going to hang out with some friends at the library. After that, I'm going back to NKY and skipping class on Thursday. First, I want to be home because I feel like crap. Second, I still have work to do on my sisters birthday present (Shan's birthday is November 10th! Yay sister!) and Third, I just want my own bed haha.

Friday morning, my parents and I are driving to South Carolina to visit Shannon and to celebrate her birthday with her. I can't wait to see her! I've missed her a lot!

Well I really must get going, the Saints game is on and I want to watch but I will try to give you guys a blog post before this weekend but if I don't get around to it, have a good week/weekend and I'll talk to you guys soon!

jump then fall

It's official. I suck at remember to post on my blog. I'm actually blogging when I should be studying but I decided this is more important at the moment (don't judge!).

Well this week has been a pretty quiet one here at UK. I drove down to school on Monday morning and after class I had an advising appointment. They make you have these at the end of every semester so you can help figure out what classes you will be taking next semester.

I only have 4 out of 5 classes picked right now. I'll pick my 5th one soon. When I finally decide which class I actually want to enroll in.

Tuesday was also pretty quiet. I wasn't feeling good. AT ALL. So right after class I went back to my dorm and took medicine and slept. I had to wake up at 6:30 to go see a speaker talk about the war (this was required. I have to write a speech about it.). Then I went back to my dorm and worked on homework and slept.

Today has been a pretty good day. I had 2 classes (my speech class was cancelled. SCORE!) and then I went and picked up some food at Panera and went to Barnes & Noble. If you don't already know this, I'm obsessed with Panera. But more obsessed with gossip magazines. I go to Barnes & Noble occasionally and read all the magazines in a big comfy chair for free, rather than spending any money on them. I think this is an ingenious plan.

After babysitting, was babysitting. Which consisted of me doing homework the whole time. Then I came back to my dorm for dinner and then walked to the library to hang out with some friends. Now I'm back and working on homework and studying. Yipee.

Tomorrow, I'm going home after class. I'm still not feeling 100% and I want to hang out with the fam. Saturday, I'm driving up to Dayton with Jess for Halloween. I cannot wait. We're going to be flappers. I still think the Lady Gaga idea is awesome, but i'm a poor college student and my mom already has an awesome flapper dress. Sunday, I'm coming home and hanging out at home then I'll leave Monday morning. It's going to be a good weekend! But I must get going, I have to study. Hope you all have a fun and safe weekend. Ohhhh and TRICK OR TREAT!!!!!!! I FREAKING LOVE HALLOWEEN!

love love love,

Morgan

P.S. Did you happen to witness the Saints come from behind win against the Dolphins. Me and my parents were yelling and cheering the boys on as they got their act back together and beat the crap out of the Dolphins. The announcers were complete tools and kept talking about this INGENIOUS play the Dolphins use called the Wildcat. When in reality its not ingenious at all. They just don't use a quarterback in the play, instead they hike the ball to the running back and he runs. I kid you not they must have said the word wildcat ATLEAST 150 times. No joke. They went on and on about it and it made me start to hate the sound of my own schools mascot (we're the Kentucky Wildcats, if you live under a rock).

This is Jeremy Shockey. I officially love him. My Mom wants me to marry him and move her down to New Orleans and put her in a big house and give her lifetime season tickets for the Saints. Although I would absolutely love it ... good luck with that Mom.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!

hey, soul sister...

Hello sweet family and friends. Well... let me just say that I'm much more awake than I was in the last post so this one should be a good one. At least, I think. ;)

Well today was a pretty good day. It was quite busy from start to finish. I had class at 9:30 to 1:30ish. From there, I walked to the UK hospital to see my friend Jacob. I had to wait for an hour in the waiting room because he was with the nurses getting his bandages changed and having physical therapy. It was so great to see him. I was a little nervous to go see him, but when I did, it was worth it. He didn't know I was coming today and he couldn't help but do a double take and smile when he saw me. He was sitting in this big chair next to his bed, changing his shirt and I was in the hallway, putting on a gown and gloves (they are very serious about this because they want him to heal perfectly and I didn't mind at all) and laughing and making faces at him through the window. He looked sooooooooooooo good. Thank you God!

When I walked through the door the nurse told me that I had just missed a big moment, I looked around not knowing what she was going to say. But then she told me that he had been up and walking around. God has been working his magic on Jake. Just a few weeks ago, he was sitting in the hospital bed, asleep and not lucid at all and now he's walking around and looking like the boy I know. Jake has gotten pretty skinny but knowing him as soon as he can hell go back to the gym and put it all back on. He was actually excited and tried to show me his new 6 pack. That is sooo Jake, you have no idea. He then had to point out that he has a few chest hairs. hahaha seeing him was the definite highlight of my month. He's my oldest friend (8th grade best friends, holla!) and seeing him just put a huge smile on my face.

I brought him 3 of his favorite candy bars and he got so excited. Then I asked him if he could still Jake Shake it. This is an inside joke between us but its when we would see each other and we would shake our shoulders back and forth and dance towards each other. He smiled big and did a little shoulder shake and said "the fire couldn't get my jake shake!" I couldn't help but smile and try to hold back the tears. I only got to stay with him for like 20 minutes because I had to work but I think I'm going to go back tomorrow and see him again but for longer. Then after that, I'm going to go home for the weekend.

I'm going to become a bear this weekend and sleep the weekend away. That's how tired I am.

Oh and I just want to point out that my sweet, amazing, wonderful, beautiful, funny cousin/godmother, Michelle is pregnant, AGAIN! She and her wonderful/crazy funny husband, John, have the COOLEST kids ever, Reilly and Jaden. They may be kids but they might as well by my age. They are quite possibly the best family ever. I've been trying to convince them to have another and now look at em! Baby #3! Soooo excited. Congrats Michelle and fam! I'll definitely have to come visit now! ;)

Next weekend, is Halloween. Dayton here we come. Then the next weekend, I'm going with my parents to see my wonderful big sister Shan and her 'friend' Andy. hahaha I think they like each other but I don't know. ;)

Well I must get going. I'll write you guys soon. Have a good day and until next time...

"you lie like a rug!!!"

Hello family and friends! I hope everyone has been good. Sorry that I haven't posted in awhile. I have been insanely busy but I will start posting more often.

So last Wednesday, after class, I went home to hang out with family and see my friends. Kaylyne had come in town Tuesday morning so I was really excited to see her again. Wednesday night, Jess, Kaylyne, Jessies' stepmom Ton, and I all went to see that movie Paranormal Activity. It was insanely scary. We all held hands through the entire movie and if we heard a sound when we tried to go to sleep we thought it was a demon. Needless to say SCARY. Definitely go see it!

Thursday, we all went and picked up our yearbooks. We took it upon ourselves to go walk around the hallways and talk about all of our amazing times we had there. We even took a few pictures...

We met there. Became best friends. And left as family.

After we picked up our yearbooks, we went to the halloween store and looked at costumes. Afterwards, we went to Kenwood. We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with Jessie's dad and stepmom. It was delicious. Then, we went and shopped around for a little bit. Jess and I danced a lot in Nordstrom and we probably got judged but we didn't care. After babysitting, we went back to my house and smoked hookah and ate a TON of puppy chow. Then went back and spent the night at Jessie's house again.

Friday, we road tripped it up to University of Dayton. It was sooo much fun! We had a blast. Here are some pictures...

This is my friend Matt. I've known him for a year or so and he's one of my Middletown Boys. We call him RHM. As in red headed Matt.

Here's the crew, minus a few. It goes RHM, Me, Dan, Ryan, Patrick, and Kay.

Me and Jess

Matt fell asleep so we took some pictures with him. :)

Me and Kay

A red head sandwich! Me, RHM, and Kay!

We laughed the entire night and had so much fun. Jess and I are planning on going back up there for Halloween. We're still trying to figure out our costumes. If it comes down to the wire and I still don't have anything, I might be Lady Gaga. I figure I can pretty much do anything to be her, including buying lace and putting it over my face or buying a porcupine and wrapping it around my face. She's pretty much done both. And if you don't know what I'm talking about I'll show you...

Today I went to school and as soon as I got back to my dorm, I passed out. I was sooo tired. I lovveee taking naps and never get to, so it was a nice little treat. Well tomorrow, I'm going to class and after class, I'm going to visit my friend Jacob at the hospital. In case you don't remember, he is my friend that was badly burned. I can't wait to see him. Then after I see him, I'm going to go babysit. Then back to my dorm for homework and more sleep. Thursday, I'm going to class and then heading home for the weekend. I have some things that I need to do and I want to watch the my Saints beat the crap out of the Dolphins. If you can't tell, I love the Saints. Especially Brees and Shockey.

I plan on seeing Drew Brees doing this a LOT on Sunday...

Wellll... I really need to go do homework, but I will talk to you guys soon!

i realllllyyy should be doing homework...

Hey family and friends! I hope you guys had a great week and weekend. Sorry for the lack of blogging. I've been very busy. Last Wednesday I went back home to enjoy what was left of my fall break. But before I went back home I had to go get all of my laundry and a few other things from my dorm. So I parked my car right outside my dorm. When I came back 5 minutes later, nothing. Everything was normal. I came back out 3 minutes later and there was a ticket on my car. $75. UK parking SUCKS. Anybody that goes here will tell you. I would absolutely LOVEEEEEE to kick that parking attendant in the shins. I was unloading and loading and that attendant had to have seen me loading my car and wrote me a ticket while I was at my car and then put in on my car when I got back. I couldn't believe it. I'm going to fight the ticket like I'd fight swine flu. I'm going to appeal it and I WILL get my money back.

That was a great start to my weekend, thats for sure. But other than that I went home and relaxed and hung out with my family. It was wonderful and I needed it. My mom and I went and saw Zombieland, and I absolutely loved it! It was so funny. I'd definitely recommend it! Well the rest of this week is kind of up in the air. Kaylyne may or may not be flying in tomorrow (in Louisville) so I might have to go pick her up. Or she might be flying into Louisville on Wednesday. I'm not really sure but I'm SUPER excited. I cannot wait!

So anyway other than that, today I drove back to Lexington and went to class. After class I went to lunch with Patrick and then to work. From there I came back to my dorm. Then my sweet sister surprised me and told me that she and Andy were going to be stopping for dinner right next to my dorm. So I got to hang out with them which was wonderful. I can't wait to go visit them next month! But now, fun is over, I need to do homework. Like really bad. So I'm going to go do that and I'll talk to you guys later.

love love love,

"i hope they don't check for fingerprints!"

Hey everyone! I hope you guys had a fantastic weekend. Mine was soooo much fun! I had a blast in Nashville. Going down to visit my Jessie was just what the doctor ordered. It was great to get away from Lexington and go see the bestie. We had SO SO SO much fun. I haven't laughed or danced that hard/crazy in a loonnnngggg time. It definitely made me realize how much I miss her but also how lucky I am to have her in my life. I'm pretty sure her roommates thought we were a. on crack b. insanely crazy c. all of the above. But we didn't care. On friday, we hung out and explored Nashville, caught up and had lunch in a park. Later that night we went to the hookah bar. They had this techno DJ playing there, so you KNOW that Jess and I got up and danced and got the party started. Saturday we explored more of Nashville and she showed me where she had lived, went shopping, lunch, and to see the movie Whip It. It was a cute movie and was funny, but not as funny as I thought it was going to be. Sunday, we went to breakfast and hung out in her room before I left at around 3. Here are some pictures from my fun/crazy/amazing weekend in Nash-Vegas...

Finally in Tennessee :)))))))

Jessie's college has these random statues out front, so of course we decided to pose with them. How could we not?! This is Betty the statue and Jess highfiving. haha

Just posing with this random old lady statue.

Reunited after 3 weeks! Wayyyyy too long. But finally reunited.

We found this random gate and posed as if we were in jail.

We found this sign with our nicknames on it and of course took a picture of it!!!

We got lost soooo many times in Nashville. Even with 2 GPS'. Fail.

Shopping for Halloween costumes!!!

More shopping!!! I actually did sneak around a corner and scared her so much that she actually screamed. Score!!!! hahaha

It was a blasty-blast of a weekend and I didn't want it to end. Lily, my car, did AMAZING on gas and got me all the way down to Nashville on less that 1 tank. Hell freaking yes. While down there in Nash we talked about alllll of our fun times together and alllll the fun plans we have coming up. Then we started talking about Halloween and we got sad that we wouldn't be able to spend it together. But then we had a moment. Some may call it an epiphany. Why can't we spend it together! So we had a grand plan to go see 2 out of 4 of 'our boys' that go to Dayton and spend Halloween up there. She's flying up to Cincy and I'm picking her up on my way to UD and it's going to be a blasty blast. I'm so excited. But not as excited as I am for next week...

What, you may ask could be more fun than that?

I'll tell you what. Kaylyne Marie Ganung, my other best friend, is coming down to visit and it is going to be EPIC! The whole crew is getting back together and it is going to be SO much fun. I just can't wait. I just wish it was next Wednesday at 6p.m. so I could be at the airport picking her up. I'm counting down the days and I am so excited.

Well other than my plans, I got home from Nashville on Sunday and have been hanging out and running around Lexington ever since. I'm going to lunch with a friend tomorrow and then who knows. Wednesday, I'm going to work, College Life, and then driving back to NKY. I'm staying up there to relax and see my family. I've missed them a lot. I really can't wait to cuddle my little kitty. Then I think this weekend, since my sister and her beau Andy are coming back to KY, I think I'll get to see them and that makes me smile. Well I hope you guys have a great week and I'll talk to you soon.

love/ hate

LOVES...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Pazzo's. Its a local pizza place here in Lexington and AMAZING. It's also RIGHT next to my dorm which is extremely dangerous. Everyone I've taken there has fallen in love with it. It's soooo good!

I looovveeee pretty sunsets. This one was when I was driving the kids back from Reynold's cub scouts meeting. It was an absolutely perfect day out and we had the windows down and the music blasting.

I get 5 meals a week at on campus cafeterias. Every once in awhile I have a few meals left at the end of the week and so we'll go to the cafeteria right next to my dorm and get ice cream and a coke. haha so delicious and healthy. :)

This was on the side walk in front of my dorm next to a busy intersection. This picture sums up Lexington. I have never been so evasive and run through traffic as much as I have being a college student and walking around campus. I'm so evasive that I do feel like frogger sometimes. Seeing this made my day. But the only thing that sucks is driving and people will randomly walk in front of your car. There's a rumor that if you get hit by a UK vehicle then they will pay for a semester of your tuition. My dad has told me to do this. Thanks Dad.

I never truly understood just how in love and fierce people are about UK basketball... until now...

These are tents. They are wrapped around the ticket office waiting for Big Blue Madness ( which is a scrimmage UK basketball has at midnight every year the day the NCAA allows teams to start practicing, so in reality they're not even lining up for a legit game) I live right next to this and let me tell you there are probably OVER 250 tents there. Most of them have really funny signs outside of their tents, that make me laugh everyday when I walk to class. Like... "Camp Cal-1N1. We've been infected" and " Camp John Wall: in John('s) Hood" (John Wall and John Hood are both basketball players. I thought this one was really crafty) Oh and did I mention the tents started showing up Tuesday morning.... tickets don't go on sale until Saturday.

HATES...

UK parking and just Lexington parking in general suck. They are complete pricks about tickets and towing. They will do both. I saw this poor car today and just wanted to give the owner a hug. A ticket AND a boot. Talk about an FML.

The city of Lexington is sometimes stupid. Take this picture for example.

This is S. Limestone. A street I live off of and an insanely busy one. The stupid city of Lexington decided to start doing construction on this road 2 weeks before classes started. So they didn't do it in the summer when Lexington was quiet... NO! They did it when Lexington gets 25,000 more people added to their population. GENIUS!

This is a picture of my life in the library on Tuesday night. STUDYING. It sucks. But good news: I passed my test :)

Traffic. Living in the suburbs I never really had traffic. In Lexington its an everyday occurrence.

These are just some of my loves and hates of Lex-Vegas. I'll add more as I find them. :)

Today was a good day. I suffered through class and then went and met up with Jen Shaver-Brzinski (bahahahaha Jen I hope a. youre laughing b. youre shaking your head or c. all of the above) We had lunch at Chipotle and I don't think I've laughed that hard in a LONG time. We laughed until our stomachs hurt. While leaving Chipotle, we passed this creepy van...

Normal right? Take a closer look....

You can't really tell because of the glare (We were trying to be sneaky) but this dashboard is stacked with all things creepy (skulls, dolls, etc.) We couldn't not take a picture of it. It only added to our laughter. Good food and good conversation :) Can't wait to do it again.

Then after lunch I went to my dorm to get a few things packed up and then went to Barnes and Noble and to read some magazines. (If you don't know this about me already, I love magazines. If you ask me pretty much anything about celebrities or their lives I can probably answer it.) Then I went to babysit. I took the kids to a local church so Reynolds could go to his cub scout meeting. On the way there we blasted Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" with the windows down. Reynolds, hated every minute of it. He plugged his ears and told us it was stupid a thousand times. Every time, I'd just turn the music up louder. Ellie, his little sister, danced and sang along. Girl power. While at his meeting, Ellie and I sat out in my car and played these random games involving Skittles. She also found my wipeys that my dad put in my car, so she became fascinated with cleaning my windows and windshield with them. I now have a nice and shiny windows thanks to her. On the way back home, we put on Taylor Swift again, windows rolled down and thats where we saw the pretty sunset above. Lovely.

Well thats about it for now. I really do need to get to sleep. I'm driving down to Nashville tomorrow to see Jessie!!!! Can't wait and I'll take tons of pictures for you guys.

Love love love,

Morgan
